What kinds of hats does HatNapN work with?
HatNapN is designed to attach to the underside of the brim on most brimmed hats — baseball caps, trucker hats, and dad hats. It works with both seamed and seamless hat interiors. If you are not sure about a specific hat, send us a photo and we will tell you.
Will it work on a flat brim as well as a curved brim?
HatNapN is designed to conform to the underside of the brim on most brimmed hats. If you have a specific hat in mind, reach out and we will confirm before you buy.
Will it damage my hat?
HatNapN uses an adhesive backing that bonds to the underside of the brim. Please contact us before installing on a hat you consider irreplaceable — we would rather answer the question than have you risk a favorite cap.
Installation
How do I install HatNapN?
Three steps: peel the backing off the adhesive, press it firmly onto the underside of your hat brim, and nap. The whole thing takes under a minute — there is a full installation video on this page that walks through it.
Can HatNapN be moved from one hat to another after installation?
It can, but the adhesive will not hold as well and it is not recommended more than once.
How long does the adhesive hold?
The adhesive is designed for a permanent, one-time installation on a single hat. For specifics on longevity in your conditions, contact us.
What if it starts to come loose?

Using it
How does it work once it is installed?
It stays flipped up and out of the way under the brim until you want it. When you are ready to nap, flip the mask down over your eyes. Flip it back up when you are done — you keep wearing the hat normally either way.

Can I take it on a plane?
Yes. It stays attached to your hat, it is soft fabric, and there is nothing to remove or declare at security.
How much light does it block?
HatNapN is a padded mask that sits over your eyes and works together with the brim of your hat to cut down the light reaching them. How dark it gets depends on your hat and how bright your surroundings are.
